FROM LIBRARY DIRECTOR ELIZABETH WOLFE:
And we have a winner on the "Name That Hawk" contest! With 118 great submissions, it was a tough choice.
Drum roll........ and the winning name is.....BROCK THE HAWK, Brockie for short.
Brockie is a real townie hawk.
Next time you sight her (we think it's a female) give us a call.
Thank you to everyone who participated.
Four contestants submitted the name Brock; they are Amy Noyes, Beverly Scheuer, Shamayne Rosario, and anonymous.
Amy, Beverly, and Shamayne will receive small gift certificates as prizes. Congratulations to the winners!
And remember, you can live in the city and still experience the wonders of nature.
