In honor of Black History Month the Brockton Historical Society in partnership with the Greater Brockton Chapter of the NAACP will host "The Black Brocktonians."
This tribute to African American history will be held Saturday February 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brockton Public Library.
The program will feature an oral and pictorial history of many prominent African Americans from the greater Brockton Area and will be hosted by co-curator Willie A. Wilson, Jr.
Light refreshments will be served.
Proceeds from this event will help continue the ongoing mission of the Brockton Historical Society.
The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Tickets will be available at the door.
